VOLUNTEER VACANCY – The Sovereign Centre

Creative Kids are involved in a wide range of arts events across the South Coast and work at local and national festivals. We recruit arts facilitators to help with the the delivery of both crafts and digital workshops and are always looking for that extra pair of hands on site to help with the get-in, running of and get-out of events. If you are interested in joining our ‘festival team’ please email your CV to us and tell us why you would like to get involved. At Creative Kids we look after our volunteer family. Volunteer benefits include tickets to festivals, meal and soft drinks and pre-event training.

If we think you have got what it takes, we will then arrange an interview, run DBS (Disclosure and Barring) checks and add you to our ‘vetted volunteer bank’. You will be notified 2 weeks prior to an event via email and be asked if you are free to volunteer.

We offer a six week, full-time work placements to BA (Hons) creative industry/events students.

Creative Kids offer work experience placements to second year students studying an arts degree course in Bournemouth. Since 2009, we have accepted students from the BA (Hons) Creative Events Management Course at  AUB. This has proven very successful, however we would also consider students from BU on the premise that the placement does not fall between April- May. The position of Arts & Events Coordinator requires a high level of maturity and independent working; it is an opportunity for students to hone the skills they have learned on their course. Free training from outside providers is offered to supplement the placement. Interviews for AUB students usually take place in January/February. Please email your interest and CV to creativekids@live.co.uk FAO Cary Lightfoot
